Event Technical Inspection
DO YOU NEED AN EVENT TECHNICAL INSPECTION?
If you are planning on taking either your street or purpose built car to a track event, then the answer is yes. Almost every racing organization requires some level of a technical inspection before allowing the vehicle to run. Even if your organization doesn’t require it, an inspection of your cars safety and running gear is a very good idea for a few reasons. The first is that you can go into the event knowing that your vehicle is as safe as it can be. The second is to limit the possibility of a wasted entry fee and a shortened weekend due to a part failure.
What do we inspect?
Event Technical Inspections are the only way to ensure the safety of you, your vehicle and the other people on the track. RRT Racing has been performing these safety inspections for over 15 years.
RRT Racing will fully inspect your vehicle for all factory, series mandated and optional safety components. We will inspect the date codes and conditions of all the safety equipment in your car. All suspension components, brake system, engine and transmission components will be inspected to ensure that they are in proper working order.
What should I bring?
When making an appointment for a technical inspection, make sure that you have arranged for all the necessary gear to be present. Depending on the series, RRT Racing will have to inspect your helmet, fire suit, shoes or other equipment that might not be traditionally considered part of your car. Also, make sure that you bring your log book and any technical forms that you need filled out.
If you will be switching to different pads or swapping other “track” components, make sure that they are on the vehicle before your appointment. Or you can always have RRT Racing install these components for you. This will save you time and ensure that your all components on your car are in proper working order.
